Using energy therapies to move from stress to peace

HOW I CAN HELP YOU WITH ENERGY THERAPIES:  A FEW EXAMPLES OF SUCCESSES

If you have a problem, it may not be a specific problem that you could give a name to. Maybe you just feel dissatisfied with your life, can't make things turn out the way you want them to, or can't stop doing the things that you know are not in your best interests. You know you have the talent and ability to accomplish far more than you have done so far, but something holds you back or messes things up once you do start to succeed.

Yes, I can help you with those kinds of problems. You have the answers inside yourself, but you may not know how to get to them. Exploring the problem together we may find those answers and understand how to change the things that you want to change. I will always be focusing on changes that you are wanting to make in your life--not trying to impose changes that don't fit for you.

On the other hand, you may have a particular kind of problem that you want to work on. If so, we would begin there. Here are some examples of specific problems that many people have. They may not fit in your case, but this can give you an idea of a few of the kinds of things that may give difficulty, and that I can help with.

     • A problem that many people have is being uncomfortable—or really scared—about speaking in front of a group.

Suppose that on your job you are required to stand up in front of a group and give some kind of talk.  You know your subject very well, but every time you imagine the situation you get really anxious. You’re afraid your voice will be so shaky that everybody will know how scared you are, or you will forget what you wanted to say.  Or you think you may sound ridiculous and people will feel like laughing at you. Well, the good news is that ahead of time we can use energy therapy to reduce—or even totally eliminate—your nervousness about having to do this.  And if you get any last-minute “butterflies” you can just imagine using the treatment and this is also effective.  (Incidentally, I have also had lots of experience in “Toastmasters” so I can help you with creating and carrying out a well-planned presentation.)

     • Or perhaps you have to fly somewhere, either for your job or for personal reasons, and you are terrified of flying.

You think of all the crashes you’ve heard about, or the rough weather your flight might run into, or maybe just the idea of being closed into that cabin for the duration of the flight. Again, there is good news! By imagining the experience and noticing the anxiety that comes up for you, then using energy therapy, you may be able to reduce or totally eliminate the uncomfortable feelings connected with the idea of the flight.

     • Or instead of some future event that feels like a problem for you, you may have already experienced something very traumatic and you just haven’t been able to shake the feelings about it.

Perhaps you are back from a battle zone and keep having flashbacks or you can’t stop checking for danger. Or one summer you saw a destructive tornado hit and now lightning and thunder bring it all back to you and you feel the need to escape. As you may know, these kinds of reactions to traumatic experiences are known as “post traumatic stress disorder.” And once again, there is good news! These types of problems are very responsive to the energy therapies.  And not only are these therapies very effective, but they also tend to produce much more rapid results than traditional talk therapy.

     • It may be however that the problem you are concerned about is really a problem your child or teen is having.

They may have intense fears about something that they know is not realistically going to happen (this is called a “phobia.”) Or they may just be intensely uncomfortable in some kinds of situations. Again, there is good news! Children and teens especially are very responsive to the energy therapies and many times a single session may make a big difference for them. I have successfully treated animal phobias, storm phobias, inability to concentrate on and complete school work, intense fear of insects, and discomfort about making eye contact when talking with others, among other problems. I teach children how to use the treatments themselves, as I also do with adults.

These are just a few examples of the many kinds of problems these methods are especially effective with. I also use traditional talk therapy when that is needed, and my training in traditional therapy informs all my work. I listen to you, as my client, to learn what you are wanting and needing, to understand what you have experienced and are experiencing, and to learn and sense how I can best be of assistance to you.
